If I were a movie star....I'd be Lou Pucci

"When people call you a star, you picture a teeny, tiny one in a far off galaxy. Your movie projects might not make millions, but you have tons of freedom to express your creative voice. Most of the world probably wouldn't recognize you on the street, but that means you won't get swarmed by paparazzi. If someone does recognize you, chances are it's an open-minded, intelligent person ? your movies don't appeal to anyone else!"

If I were a movie star....I'd be Lou Pucci? Maybe. I don't want to be the focus of attention. I need a career that offers a challenge. Being a movie star is a good choice. I can choose all kinds of characters as my challenges. Being the centre of attention is not necessary for me. I just want to enjoy what I do. Lou Pucci is the star that matches my thoughts. He is a handsome boy but played a role that is not handsom at all in "Thumbsucker" (2005).

Penny's Tongue Twisters

Penny practiced prepositions and pronounciation in primary school when she was positive, because she wanted to progress.

Penny paid 5 pounds for a pineapple in pineapple paradise, because she wanted to make a pineapple cake.

Leo's opinions about love+marriage

Leo's opinions about love+marriage are strange:

First, he wants to get married at fifteen. But he is already eighteen years old. It just happens in his dreams, I think. He is a senior high school student. What he wants to do is study in a good college. So, his thoughts matured him at an early age. Normal boys like Leo's age want to have a beautiful girl friend immediately. But he just pays attention to his learning. In Taiwan, males want to have their own business before marrige. I think that Leo is a traditional Taiwanese male in this way.

Second, he thinks it is okay for a man to have two wives. But he thinks it is not okay for a woman to have two husbands. It is unfair. I know he is joking. I still can't identify with that joke. If it is okay for a man to have two wives, why it is not okay for a woman to have two husbands?

Third, he thinks men should " go Dutch" when dating......before getting married. He is gentle. But he will become a poor man. After getting married, his wife's money is his money. It doesn't matter who pays for dinner on a date.

Is Leo interesting? I think so. Do you agree with him?

Living In Brisbane

I have lived in Brisbane for only 5 days. But a lot of interesting things have happened.

First day, I was so nervous that I couldn't eat anything. My Japanese roommate, Kumiko, is very sweet. She didn't have any classes in the morning, but she went to school with me and taught me how to take a bus. After I finished my test, I took a bus by myself. But I couldn't remember which stop I should get off at. I tried 3 times. I still couldn't find the way home. Finally, I called my host mother. She came to find me and took me home.

On my third day in Brisbane, I made several friends from Taiwan. They invited me to a party for Chinese new year's eve. Chinese people celebrate Chinese new year's eve with family. No one should be lonely on that day. So, those kind Taiwanese had a party for the students who can't go home during Chinese new year. On the next night, the party started....

We had a lot of traditional Chinese food at the party. The most special food was dumplings. There were 3 coins in those dumplings. If you eat the dumpling with coin, you will be thrown into the swimming pool. But in the end everybody was in the swimming pool. We were wet but happy. I had a special Chinese new year's eve in Brisbane. It's my most crazy Chinese new year's eve.

I am gradually learning to live here. I am looking forward to having more interesting experiences in Brisbane.
