The battle on the 22nd of March

The 22nd of March is the voting day of the Taiwanese presidential election. I care about this election very much but worry about it more. Elections in Taiwan are very bad examples in the world. The candidates always do bad things to their enemies. I always feel shy about these situations. I hope this kind of situation won't continue so much in the future. Showing their good opinions is better than doing bad things, I think.

The Future--everything disappeared

Do you think "polar bears" are cute? We might not be able to see them in 100 years. Why? Because "Global Warming" makes arctic ice fields disappear and polar bears won't be able to hunt seals. Maybe afterwards we will see polar bears only in the zoo.

Do you like to eat ice cream? One famous ice cream brand can't make lots of flavours like before. That's because of "Global Warming" again--"Global Warming" makes it difficult for animals to live in the wild. A lot of bees disappeared which caused less honey. Without honey, about 40% of ice cream flavors can't be made.

These are only two examples of "Global Warming". However, lots of warnings happened around us. If people don't care about it, humans might disappear before everything is destroyed.

Hiromi's day--Crunchy Day

My classmate, Hiromi, created a holiday named "Crunch Day". "Crunch Day" is on the eighth of April. "Crunch Day" is a children's day which celebrates children's teeth getting strong. So, on this day, people eat hard food to celebrate it. Some will do crunching exercises to train their teeth. How? Eating nuts is a good choice. The chocolate "crunch" is another good choice. But don't forget to brush your teeth after training your teeth!

Why Hiromi wants to create "Crunch Day"? I think she might like children very much. Another reason is reminding people to take care of their teeth. So, she chose the eighth of April, her favourite month in Spring, to be "Crunch Day".

I think the most interesting story in 'Different Seasons' is 'The Shawshank Redemption'. It describes an innocent man who found the way to escape from prison. He spent over 10 years to building a hole from the wall to the sewer underground. Nobody noticed it. He knew the personality of the custodial officer very well. He taught the custodial officer how to evade tax. The custodial officer relied on him and respected him very much. But he could blackmail the custodial officer with this evidence. The custodial officer didn't want to release him from prison even if he saw the evidence of his innocence. He escaped from prison finally. The process is very unexpected. If you want to know it. Read this book as fast as you can.
